What we're about

We are a MEETUP group for game lovers of all ages from all over Sydney.

By games we mean ... Cluedo, Eurogames, Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, 500, Cribbage, Poker, Role Playing Games (RPG), Dungeons & Dragons, Jenga, UNO, Pictionary, Balderdash, Backgammon, Tile Rummy, Gin Rummy, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Mahjong, Chess, Checkers, Charades, Dominoes, Pick-up-Sticks, Twister etc etc etc

If you can't find the game that you love listed in our calendar then let us know and we will happily add you as an event organizer and you can create one. Feel free to make this location your HOME website for all things gaming.

The overall vision to to be able to find an easily accessible game on any night that you want to play. The great thing is that as long as there is more than 1 person, you can always play something.

There are a couple of RULES for Game Lovers:

1 Have Fun ... but not at anyone else's expense
2 Play Fair ... watch out for other Kidults and make sure no-one is left-out or bullied

Also note, there are many events listed in the Calendar that have only 1 or 2 people RSVP'd, these are recurring events and they all run with people from Meetup or Boardgame Geek. So there will definitely be people to play with. If you are concerned then contact the meeting organiser to check if it is on and how many people they are expecting.

That's all for now.

GAME ON!!!

Revesby Monthly Games Night

Revesby Workers Club

• What we'll do This meetup is for all ages, and all levels of maturity or immaturity. We play different games every month, mostly Euro games, and we make lots of jokes and have lots of laughs. The starting time is fairly loose (even your host tends to be a bit late) as everyone sorts out food and drinks while waiting for enough people to arrive to start playing. Sometimes the early arrivals play a quick game of backgammon. • What to bring You can bring your own game if you have something you really want to play, but generally Sep brings a good selection that we tend to run with. Do not under any circumstances bring Monopoly, Scrabble, or other common family games, because a number of regulars are allergic to such games. Bring your Revesby Workers membership card if you are a member. • Important to know There is both beer/wine/etc and coffee/etc available at this venue, to suit your tastes. There are several food options; all can be taken to our tables. If you are bringing your kid(s), the cut off time for them is 11pm, but we don't stay much later than that anyway. If you live within the club's temp member radius (15km) then you should sign up as a member (it's worth it for birthday bonuses) but I'm happy to sign you in as a guest for your first time so you can see if you like the place.

Ticket to Ryde - Social Tabletop Gaming Group [West Ryde]

'Ticket to Ryde' holds an open, social tabletop gaming meetup (which includes all sorts of board games, card games, dice games, etc.) on Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, typically at the West Ryde Hotel (corner Victoria & Chatham Roads). You'll find us hanging out in the Function Room, affectionately referred to as the 'Fish Bowl', which is located near the beer garden. On occasion, we may be forced to meet at another venue, so double check the forums on our BGG webpage for the latest. Everyone is welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. The function room is wheelchair accessible. While there is no cost to attend, we're encouraged to support the hotel by purchasing food and drink from the bar. Many like to arrive early to order and eat dinner in the function room, before the games begin. Public transport, walking or cycling are ideal ways to travel to and from the venue. If driving, parking is available in the surrounding streets or at the council car parks near the West Ryde Marketplace. For more information and to join in the discussion on the forums, visit our Guild page on BGG (Board Game Geek): https://www.boardgamegeek.com/guild/3197.

"De-Stress" Social Gaming (Parramatta)

Parramatta RSL Club

We are changing our meet up to every 2nd and 4th Monday of the months. You are welcome to bring games that you would like to share with others. This is a get together to play light board and card games in order to socialize and get to know each other. Games on the menu include Catan, Carcassonne, Temporum, TransAmerica, Stone Age, Tichu, Alien Frontiers, Game of Thrones Dice Game, San Juan/Puerto Rico, Wasabi!, Rummy, Scopa, MahJong, and many others. The games are very easy to pick up on and have interesting tactical play. As stated before, this is a social evening of gaming and getting to know each other and not a hard-core BGG gaming gathering. General Schedule is: 6:00PM - Meet, Greet, Eat, catch up on what has been happening. 6:45PM - Start playing games. Finishing up quick games during dinner and starting the Main Feature. We usually have 2 games happening at the same time. What Spittledung is saying about this Meetup Group Good people who play the games for the fun and social aspect. Not "hard-core" competitive" :)
