What we're about

This is a group for active, fun loving, seniors interested in affordable get-togethers. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners; movies, plays and concerts; walking/hiking; and other activities of interest to the group. We are committed to being happy, positive and enjoying life. We always welcome working or retired individuals to join us.

THINGS TO KNOW

Check us out. If you want to join, and we hope you will, it's merely $15 per year from the time you join. Start meeting people and having fun today! Membership dues are paid online and help pay for this website.

If you would like to attend an activity, please remember to RSVP which allows us to know how many to plan for. If you find that you cannot attend, remember to change your RSVP to "No". If you want information about an activity and/or becoming a member, please contact one of the organizers.

We like to have fun and be positive, and sometimes discussions about politics, religion, or other controversial topics can result in the opposite happening. Please avoid these types of conversations. Positive, respectful and inoffensive language is expected.

Matinee of “Judy” at The Kress Cinema

The Kress Cinema

The new movie, “Judy,” starring Renée Zellweger, Finn Wittrock and Jessie Buckley is a 2019 biographical film about American singer and actress Judy Garland, following her as she arrives in London in 1969 for a run of sold-out concerts. It is an adaptation of the Olivier- and Tony-nominated West End and Broadway play “End of the Rainbow.” Cost is $8.00 per person to be paid at the cinema entrance. We will meet in the lobby of the cinema at 3:30 pm.

Breakfast and Chat at The Country Inn

Join us for a fun and lively discussion at breakfast. We will be eating at The Country Inn located at[masked]th Ave in Greeley. Each person will order off of the regular menu and pay for his/her own meal. We look forward to seeing current members and always welcome new participants!

Theatre: "The Cherry Orchard”

UNC Langworthy Theater

Anton Chekhov, the playwright of “The Cherry Orchard" is a unique force in modern drama. His works are cherished for their brilliant wit and insight into the human condition. The action takes place at the country estate of Madame Ranevskaya, an estate famed for its beautiful cherry orchard—and soon to be sold at auction unless the delinquent taxes are paid. Tickets cost $18 for individuals 65 and older, and $20 for other adults. Full payment will need to be received by Juliet Fried no later than Friday, September 27th at 12:00 noon for this group activity. We will meet at the main entrance to Langworthy Theatre on the UNC campus at 7:10 pm with the play beginning at 7:30 pm.

Hiking at Red Mountain Open Space & Brunch

Red Mountain Open Space

We will be taking a hike at one of the trails at Red Mountain Open Space, located 25 miles north of Fort Collins in Wellington. Ratings for the trails could not be found. Deep crimson and tan rocks, rolling grasslands, and sandy washes await us at Red Mountain. From the trailhead, hikers can take off on over 15 miles of multi-use trails. Afterward, for those interested, we will have brunch at a local restaurant. If interested in carpooling, meet at 7:45 am at the Safeway parking lot on W. 10th in Greeley (near gas station). Otherwise, we will meet you at the trailhead parking lot near the entrance to the trails at 9:00 am. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat and any snacks you may want, as well as a camera.
