We all know the Bay Area has tons of software meetups, but where's the hardware love? We're bringing together anyone who interested in building a business in the world of physical products: from company boards to organic soap. The purpose of the group is to start to build the hardware startup community by: bringing people together, bringing in experts in the fields of hardware & form entrepreneurs who've done it before, and also to build a better picture of the hardware scene so we can all find the resources we need to make this happen.
Get ready for another SF Hardware Startup Meetup on Tuesday the 24th! This time around we're sponsored by the folks at BackerKit and Kickstarter.
BackerKit is the best way for crowdfunding project creators to manage backers and help fulfill campaign rewards on time, allowing you to focus on what you love doing—making something awesome!
Kickstarter helps designers, artists, engineers, and other creators find the resources and support they need to make their ideas a reality. Beau Ambur is both your MC for this event and Kickstarter's Design and Technology Outreach Lead.
Beau will also be hosting a panel the following day on Wednesday at Circuit Launch in Oakland if anyone is interested in joining for lunch as well you can register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bringing-your-product-to-life-on-kickstarter-tickets-72454087125
Jump up and demo if you've got a prototype to share with your fellow Hardwarians or if you just want to talk about what you're working on. Format: 2 minutes maximum (hard stop), no projector, no slides - just you, your prototype and a microphone!
