What we’re about
The Humanist Society (Singapore) was formed in 2010 as a group of humanists, atheists, agnostics, skeptics and other like-minded people in Singapore. Our society seeks to represent non-religious people in Singapore who pursue ethical and fulfilling lives. We are guided by reason, informed by evidence and driven by compassion.
Our events raise awareness of science, humanism and ethical living. Our gatherings serve as a treasured space for rational discussions and for finding friendship with like-minded people. We hold workshops on humanism, ethics and science, and social events such as barbecues and festive celebrations. Community service includes hot meals for the elderly and holding blood donation drives.

What to Expect
This route runs through an area that plays a key role in preserving habitat connectivity between Bukit Timah, the Central Catchment, and surrounding green corridors. Located beside the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, Chestnut Nature Park (Singapore’s largest nature park) hosts a wide range of wildlife. We will explore the relatively easier, flatter trails within the park’s northern section on the Saturday. While enjoying the leisurely pace and great company of your fellow humanist hikers, do keep an eye out for forest fauna and interesting plant species along the way. The walk concludes at a nearby neighborhood food court, where we can continue our conversations over a hearty meal.
