The IoT Revolution
2018 continues to be an exciting year for Insurtech! Last month were the Insurance Industry Awards, where Cover Genius won Insurtech Program of the Year! Following on from this excitement, Insurtech Australia is thrilled to be collaborating with EY who will be bringing us an insightful and engaging dive into ‘connected devices’ for the next Melbourne meetup on 26 September 2018. Connected devices are taking the insurance industry by storm and comprises internet of things (IoT), telematics, drones and satellites. These are all poised to drive innovation in pricing and underwriting agility, and smarter loss prevention and remediation. We’re already seeing a number of Insurtech startups in Australia embrace connected devices including FitSense, Mercurien, Blue Temple, and Safety Compass. Join us to learn about what connected devices are (and what they’re not) and how they’re driving product innovation, enhancing underwriting & risk management, and revolutionising the claim value chain. There’ll even be a live demo! We’ll finish with a panel of insurance and technology experts who’ll discuss the exciting aspirations for connected devices and the upcoming challenges. There’ll be plenty of time for Q&A, and please feel free to submit questions ahead of time in the comments below! RSVP:- Please RSVP on this Meetup group if you are a member.
