Annette Drapalski - A former ice cream factory shift manager, did an online bootcamp through Flatiron in New York, currently working on a Search API team using Clojure.

Mel Kaulfuss - Serial career changer and Ruby community fangirl; former tattoo artist, admin assistant, software agency project manager with a bachelors degree in Visual Art Mel has finally found the career to satisfy her craving for a challenge. She's now a Software Engineer on the Qantas Hotels bookings team.

Marta Scaramella - Marta moved from Italy 5 years ago. She has a Management Engineer's degree from Italy but decided for a career change in Melbourne, completing GA's Web Immersive Developer Bootcamp - now working as a full stack engineer on the Qantas Hotels team.

About their talk:

Annette, Marta and Mel have recently graduated from the inaugural Qantas Hotels Academy Program, which took 3 bootcamp grads and 1 self taught programmer through a 6 month intensive training program, coupled with in team time, and a personal project. They'll share their experiences from their beginning of the journey to the developers they are today.

Ryan Bigg (@ryanbigg) - Currently the Junior Engineering Program Lead at Culture Amp. Ryan has a background in mentoring junior developers, and has even found the time to write some tech books to help them out too!

Jaime Gunther - Jaime is a Junior Software Developer at Envato and most recently completed their first ever Apprenticeship. Having graduated university with a degree in zoology, she never really found her calling until she started teaching herself to code. Her motto is always to ask 'why not?' and she is a big advocate for giving yourself the time and patience to explore what makes you happy. Inspired by the endless possibilities that tech provides she is also always keen to get kids interested in code.
