What we’re about
This group is for women who would like to get together for movies, happy hour, dinner, walks, or other events around town. We have a very wide-range of ages, so please, come one, come all! The point is that there are so many amazing people in our backyard, that it would be fun to meet people locally.
In the other group, we have organized some great stuff and we have attracted nice intimate groups, which has been great to get to know each other: happy hour at Norton Simon sculpture garden, taco Tuesday, movie night, a blues band, a movie screening at the Mexican consulate, local bites...I'm open to suggestions, and I am also looking for co-organizers. You can also take ownership and host an event.
My request -- I spend A LOT of time, thinking and planning and asking, how can I help create a great community? Therefore, my only request is that, if, for ANY reason, you need to cancel, please, out of respect for me and the group, please just let me know. Things happen, I know...I don't even ask for an explanation, I just want to get notification. Creating meetups are fun, but it also takes planning and work -- and if you want me to continue hosting great things for you to come to, please don't bum me out by not letting me know if you need to cancel. I really do understand things happen.

## Let's celebrate this holiday season together!! A festive feast and small gift exchange (please bring a little gift of $10 to $15 for the gift exchange). Something nice, that YOU would like to receive, even if it is a bouquet of flowers or nice soap or chocolate.
## NOTE: Also, please -- membership dues for meetup were just billed -- yay -- so I can host you all for another year! Yes, it is 300+ dollars per year to Meetup, for subscription fees, so please if you could contribute $2 to fees at the event.
If you haven't been to Fogo de Chao, they have an amazing market table bar for $18 that has amazing salads, Brazilian stews and soups, charcuterie, fruit, chicken salad and more. You can add in a meat too for extra. They also bring sides - polenta fries, potatoes mashed, and cheese bread! Wine is $8. Yes you can upgrade to the meat option (please see website for more info on that).

Fogo de Chão’s salad bar has become my new lunchtime dining addiction in Pasadena. This is an affordable feast!! Such a fabulous deal with great quality. This is a fabulous food feast but also an old bank with painted ceilings, a gorgeous location.
🏦What makes Pasadena Fogo de Chão so special is location, location, location!! It opened in 2022 in the old Pacific Southwest Trust & Savings Bank building, a historic 8-story renaissance revival-style building completed 100 years ago in 1925. Designed by the firm Curlett & Beelman, it was the largest commercial building in the city upon completion and features a facade of granite, brick, and terra cotta. Once you enter the beautiful tree design glass doors you will be taken back by the grandeur of the former historic bank elements plus their own renovations. The interior materials consist of marble, wood, and Florentine-style painted surfaces. It’s absolutely beautiful!! Check out my photos.
The Pasadena location features an expansive dining room centered around an open-air churrasco grill. The interior also has soaring wine cases, a white Carrara marble Market Table, dry-aged meat lockers for in-house aging, two private dining rooms, and an indoor Bar Fogo area.

Founded in 1979 in Southern Brazil, Fogo is known for its elevation of the centuries-old churrasco cooking technique, which consists of roasting high-quality cuts of meat over an open flame.
The restaurant quickly gained popularity and expanded throughout Brazil, with the first international location opening in Dallas, Texas, in 1997 (U.S. Headquarter) at the request of American tourists who loved the experience. The brand has since grown to over 70 locations worldwide, including in the United States, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Mexico.
