What we're about

Meditation practices are a part of the rhythms of The Third Space @ Docklands.
We practice:
Mindful Meditation - a 15 minute practice of deep breathing/relaxation and Meditation Circle - a 25 minute meditation practice based on Judeo-Christian traditions.
Both practices are designed for anyone wanting to try meditation for the first time and also work well for those who want to incorporate a guided practice into their weekly routine.

The Meetup "space" is in the heart of Docklands and is an ideal location for those living, working or visiting that part of Melbourne.

The Third Space is a community of both Christ-followers and others who are from diverse backgrounds and who gather together to practice meditation, share meals, and enjoy a variety of other activities including hiking, soiree's and collaborating with other Meetup groups.

Attendance s by donation with proceeds going towards global water projects supported by The Third Space

Mindful Meditation

22 Import Ln

Mindful Meditation specifically aims at bringing a peace to the body and mind through the practice of mindfulness, deep breathing and relaxation exercises. The practice is a thoroughly evidence-based practice shown to decrease stress/cortisol levels and improve creativity and concentration. For those living and working in the Docklands precinct this practice can be easily incorporated into a lunch break with time to spare. It is a guided meditation with the facilitator, Allison, having already had three years experience in this corporate environment. You are welcome to bring friends and colleagues on the day. Alternatively you can arrange a private group meditation at another time. Attendance is by donation at the door with all proceeds going towards global water projects supported by The Third Space Advertised on other platforms For more information you can contact Allison on[masked]

Meditation Circle

22 Import Ln

Meditation Circle aims to achieve “shalom” peace which is the Hebrew word for holistic peace - of mind, body, soul, and spirit through incorporating a shortened “mindful meditation”, the Lectio Divina and through engaging in “talking circle” – an opportunity to voluntarily share personal reflections that come as a result of the meditation. Our mindful meditation practice consists primarily of deep breathing, relaxation and mindfulness. The Lectio Divina is a monastic practice from the 4th century which uses the ancient Hebrew and Greek texts as its basis and "talking circle" is drawn from the Judeo-Christian tradition of communing. This last element is unique in meditation practice as most practices are individual in nature and it is our experience that the reflections of others can significantly add value to our own time of meditation. This session is followed by a light lunch. Attendance is by a "pay as you feel".
