"Code Scanning integrations with Azure Security Center"

Demonstrate how CVE vulnerabilities detected in GitHub Workflows are able to be integrated into Azure Security Center.

About Brad:
Working as a Lead Platform Engineer for Azenix - lots of experience in "hard" infrastructure, Cloud Native Workloads (Kubernetes), and the Big3 Cloud Providers. No longer a Windows person :) but loves the Azure platform and proving that Linux workloads work just as well there as on other cloud platforms.

Speaker 2: Thai Tran

"Building REST API in .NET Core"

RESTful is common term that refers to an architectural style that enables a lightweight data transfer mechanism for web services and client apps. When building your RESTful services, it is crucial to select the right tools as we need to consider the relevant aspects such as scalability, maintainability, security and documentation. The ASP.NET Core is a great framework that gives us a powerful and easy to use API to achieve these goals. In this talk, I will show you how to implement a simple REST API using the ASP.NET Core framework and the Swagger/OpenAPI documentation tools.

About Thai:
I'm a solutions architect / team lead working from Luminary digital agency. I've been using .NET to solve the problems for many clients in the last ten years. My particular areas of specialisation include technical writing, CMS training and third party systems integration. I'm also a certified developer for Kentico, Sitecore and Optimizely (formerly EPIServer). You can read more about me from my company's website: https://www.luminary.com/thai

"The Future of Windows (and Other Platforms) Development"

When Windows 10 was announced in 2015, Microsoft also released information about the Universal Windows Platform (UWP), a new framework for building applications that would run on any device running Windows 10. While UWP offered up a whole host of new features to make it easier to build applications, it also came with a host of limitations that made it almost impossible for existing applications to be migrated. UWP missed the mark, resulting in low adoption and leaving the Windows developer community divided. Recently, Microsoft has started to release versions of Project Reunion (which includes Windows UI (WinUI)), which is an ambitious program to reunite the Windows developer community. This session will look at how different groups of Windows developers will be able to adopt Project Reunion. We’ll also look at how Project Reunion, coupled with the Uno Platform, can be used to extend a Windows application across iOS, macOS, Android, Web, and even Linux.

About Nick:
Nick currently runs Built to Roam which focuses on building rich mobile applications. Nick has been identified as a Microsoft MVP in recognition of his work and expertise with the Microsoft application platforms. He is still an active contributor in the device application development space via his blog at http://nicksnettravels.builttoroam.com.
