Azure Data, Machine Learning, MLOps, and Monitoring all together

This month we have 3 great speakers for 2 sessions talking about all things Data, ML, Ops & Monitoring and all on Azure 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm Arrival & Networking 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Azure Monitor Platform - How can you use it for Data Workloads (Ana-Gabriela Hernandez & Erika Harris) 7:00 pm - 7:15 pm Pizzas and Drinks 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm Azure ML Services: ML & DevOps Together at last (Rolf Tesmer) [Azure Monitor Platform - How can you use it for Data Workloads] Azure Monitor, which includes Log Analytics and Application Insights, provides sophisticated tools for collecting and analyzing telemetry that allow you to maximize the performance and availability of your cloud and on-premises resources. It helps you understand how your Data workloads and applications are performing and proactively identifies issues affecting them and the resources they depend on. [Azure ML Services; ML & DevOps Together at Last!] For the longest time data science was often performed in silos, using large machines with copies of data. This process was not repeatable, explainable or scalable and often introduced business and security risk. With modern enterprises now adopting a DevOps engineering culture, no longer can machine learning development practise operate in isolation. This demo heavy session introduces the new Azure ML Services capabilities and how this can assist to bring the practice of data science into the age of modern DevOps. About the speakers Ana-Gabriela is an Azure Technical Specialist in Microsoft Australia specialized in IaaS and PaaS solutions. She's previously worked in Datacenter and Security Specialist roles. Prior to joining Microsoft she worked at EDS in the infrastructure space and Compaq Computers where she was a Field Engineer. Erika Harris is a Senior Program Manager in AzureCAT (Engineering) at Microsoft and specialises in all things Data in Azure. Erika works directly with customers and partners to ensure their solutions are designed, built and deployed successfully on Azure. Her role is to make sure our engineering teams fully understand the customer experience end-to-end on our platform. Rolf Tesmer has 20+ years IT experience and has been working with the SQL platform since v6.0 (that’s 1994!) and has done just about everything you can around SQL related data and data platforms / architectures ever since then. I have a personal interest in All Things Cloud and Data (Azure, Streaming Data / IoT, Data Warehousing, Machine Learning, Visualisation and SQL Spatial). I have had the opportunity to present at PASS, TechEd, PASS SQL Saturday, PASS Virtual Chapter, SQL User Groups, Big Data Seminars, Microsoft Technology Roadshows, Breakfast Seminars, ++ and enjoy sharing and learning new ideas.
