What we're about
Upcoming events (5)
After 13 months and 11 online events (and 9,368 of you spent 840 hours collectively watching Melbourne CocoaHeads); we're pleased to announce that we're back! May will be our first in-person event since the beginning of the pandemic.
While we're all excited to be returning to in-person events you will notice some changes. Like everyone we want to make sure that everyone feels safe and comfortable coming to all the Melbourne CocoaHeads events, but most importantly we want to make sure you don't feel left out if you're not comfortable being there in person.
If you want to be there in person, you will need to grab a free ticket from our Eventbrite event: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/melbourne-cocoaheads-146-tickets-153191759677. To stay covid-safe, attendances at the event at YBF is limited to 50 people. If you do not grab a ticket from Eventbrite you may be turned away at the door. To avoid disappointment please make sure you grab a ticket. Our events follow all covid-safe guidelines and you will be required to check-in with the Service Victoria QR code on arrival.
If you are feeling unwell on the night please stay home. No one wants to have to isolate for 14 days because our events is a covid exposure site - its just not worth the risk. If for any reason you are unable to attend please make sure you go back into Eventbrite and cancel your ticket as well. We want to make sure we have as many spaces as possible for people to attend if they wish to.
If you can't or don't want to attend in person don't worry! We are committed to continuing the experience we've built these last 13 months as best we can. Our events will continue to be live streamed in full and we're making some changes to be as inclusive as we can. All questions for our presenters, whether asked by our in-person audience or online, will be asked on Slack and asked by our emcee on your behalf; everyone will have equal opportunities to get their questions answered. Likewise, there will be no intermission on the night, so once the event starts we'll run all the way through the end.
If you want to attend remotely feel free to RSVP here on meetup (that calendar reminder is so handy), but don't forget to grab a ticket from Eventbrite if you'd like to be there in person: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/melbourne-cocoaheads-146-tickets-153191759677
Now that that's out of the way, we're back for the 146th Melbourne CocoaHeads! If you're attending in person doors will open at 6pm with the live stream and event kicking off at our usual 6:30pm start time. Drinks will be provided but there be no food provided (one covid safety challenge at a time!), so grab dinner before arriving if you can.
A huge thanks to our Gold Sponsor Itty Bitty Apps, and our three silver sponsors for their support across 2020 and 2021.
