What we're about

This is a group for people interested in the Haskell language. We will be providing a space for haskernauts of any skill level to hack, learn and share their experiences in using Haskell.

Organised as an activity of the Melbourne Functional Programming Association Inc.

By attending MHUG, you must agree to respect our code of conduct (http://www.composeconference.org/conduct/index.html).

FYI: Due to the current COVID restrictions, meetups are held online. Please see meetup details for upcoming meetups you have RSVPd to in order to see the video-conferencing link.

[September] Haskell for Engineers: Time Series with STM - Arthur Simanjuntak

Please note: This is now scheduled for September!

This month Arthur will be presenting a view of Haskell from an engineering perspective:

"Data streams coming live from multiple sensors often need to be combined and their history accessed in sliding time windows for time series analysis. Using STM and STM.TBQueue, it is relatively straightforward to do this in real time. Parsed data from the sensors are accumulated in TVar, which then gets read concurrently by various time-series processing tasks on schedules."

Please note, this event will be in-person at OC House at 6pm!
