Jennifer invites you to join her for the sacred embodiment practice of Qoya. Qoya invites you to slow down and to allow your choices and reactions to be felt, rather than thought. It invites you to trust that there is no way you can do it wrong and the way you know you are doing it right is that it feels good for you. A Qoya class consists of 13 pillars including yoga, dance, sensual movement, stretching and community sharing. Qoya offers space for a woman to feel again and to remember through movement that her essence is wise, wild and free. YOGA in Qoya invites us to feel the physical sensation of the wisdom of the Divine in our body and the recognition of the Divine in everything else. DANCE allows us to connect to creative expression and offers wild catharsis. SENSUAL MOVEMENT expands our capacity to enjoy the freedom in our own body through revelling in the pleasure of moving in feminine ways. For this class you will be invited to explore the theme of BELONGING to sisterhood... “A circle of women may be the most powerful force known to humanity. If you have one, embrace it. If you need one, seek it. If you find one, for the love of all that is good and holy, dive in. Hold on. Love it up. Get naked. Let them see you. Let them hold you. Let your reluctant tears fall. Let yourself rise fierce and love gentle. You will be changed. The very fabric of your being will be altered by this, if you allow it. Let us dance into the sisterhood of belonging, a place where we are free to be ourselves and all we desire whilst also being willing to hold space for and support our sisters to rise. Jennifer is a Certified Qoya Teacher and an experienced facilitator in providing a safe and sacred space in which to explore moving, relaxing, arriving home in your body and feeling energised, vibrant and joyful. The class commences at 7pm and concludes at 8.30pm. Please be on time as the circle will not be complete until you arrive. There will be time for tea, conversation and yummy snacks until 9pm. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move in and that you feel comfortable to lie down in. Yoga mats, bolsters and blankets are all provided.
