What we’re about

This meetup is all about connecting with nature and improving your wellbeing by getting up close and personal with your natural surroundings.
Walking through and appreciating nature in all its glory, hearing the sounds of the bush, breathing in the fresh air and bush scents, touching the different textures of the trees, learning about plants and some of the local human and natural history. The Australian Bush boasts a plethora of amazing plants which are unique and some of which only occur in this region. We have some beautiful bushland in Newcastle and we would love to share our passion and enthusiastic knowledge with you.

If you LOVE being outside …. If you are NUTS about Nature! You are invited to walk, appreciate, learn and chill out with us in nature.
Warning: Involves some mindfulness and may occasionally involve hugging a tree
I am also passionate about connecting to Self, Nature and others through the power of breath. It's what I do as a Breathwork Trainer and it's an integral part of who I am.

Our aim to is put on a range of events and activities that support people to connect to nature. Some of these are paid events and many of them are free like the walks and the Flying Fox event we had late in 2018.

Sometimes I will connect you with events run by others in the conservation space, such as Lake Mac City Council and ACF Hunter.

Most events are free and if you would like to make a donation ($1 - $5) each time you come that would be great. The donations are donated to Trees In Newcastle who support the regeneration of biodiversity in the region. NO OBLIGATION

**In 2023 our chosen not for profit is TREES IN Newcastle https://treesinnewcastle.org.au/**

In past years we donated over $200 to Port Stephens Koalas through sponsorship of Koalas.

Look forward to see you out in Nature
With love and respect. Jennylee :)
