Hello and thank you for visiting.
Our group started in October 2015, since then it has been very rewarding to see how many people have joined us and appreciated what our group has to offer.
Intended for "Over 50's", the group’s main focus is to provide members with organised meet-ups that are scheduled between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
A lot of our meet-ups are for lunch at various locations but we also have organised walks, visits to interesting places and just gatherings for a coffee/drink and chat as well.
Just a reminder for potential members while we are called a meet-up group THIS IS NOT A DATING SITE.
The group's core values have been friendliness, inclusiveness, respect, good humor and courtesy. So far, our meet-ups have definitely met those objectives.
The following rules have been implemented to help hosts maintain a happy and organised social environment and put more onus on members to “do the right thing”.
• 1. A current clear personal profile photo ( not a pet, plant or silhouette) is required for all new members.
Existing members that joined before this became mandatory are also encouraged to adopt this requirement.
• 2. To differentiate between members with the same given name a second name or initial is required in your profile.
• 3. Any member that has replied YES to attending a meet-up and their availability changes is required to correct their availability as soon as possible and to notify the event host of that change.
. 4 "No- Shows" should not happen and show a complete lack of respect to both the event hosts and the venue.
New Memberships, this group charges a $5 per calendar year membership fee which can be paid to the function organizer at your first meetup attendance or by EFT deposit within 1 month of joining.
This fee pays for site administration costs.
The EFT details will be forwarded to you once your application for membership has been approved.
Existing Members, wishing to renew their memberships can locate the EFT details by clicking on More then Message board under the groups heading photo.
So if you are wanting to make some new friends and to get out and about a bit more on weekdays (no matter whether you are a male, female, single or a couple) you are welcome to join and enjoy our friendly group.
