Friday night Yin Yoga (75 mins)
Get the most out of your weekend by de-stressing and winding down the weeks tensions. This 1 hour 15 minutes class is a breath-centred, restorative practice, working deep into inter-connective tissue where emotions and trauma is stored. Yin Yoga is the passive relaxing of the muscles to allow the joints and bones to 'fall apart' and the spine to stretch in holds that last for 3 - 8 minutes. The practice focuses primarily on the hips, and inter-connective tissue between the bones and muscles below the hips, to prepare practitioners for deeper muscular tension release and meditative practices and the de-stress the mind in a very different way to a dynamic/flow routine or static asanas where the muscles are active. For most people, its simply a way to find calm in the discomforts and tensions we hold in our bodies and to let go of it. We end with a guided relaxation, so you will be ready to start your week with a sense of well-being and joy in your body and mind, revitalised for the weekend ahead. We have mats, blankets and blocks should you need them but bringing your own mat or towel is encouraged. See you at your mat :) FAQs: Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? What we're about

PERTH YOGA FOR EVERYBODY is a social yoga group for anyone wanting to learn or re-establish the foundations of their practice.

"We acknowledge the people of the Noongar nation as traditional owners of the land and waters that we occupy, and honour the Elders, past and present."

We accept donations ( towards group costs and to support the social work we do.

There are many different exercise fads in today's market but let's face it, yoga has endured the test of time. It gives physical, mental and spiritual benefits to its students. With the stresses of modern life, yoga provides the perfect escape from our increasingly complex, technologically driven lives. So why not come join us?

Our yoga classes run for an hour and fifteen minutes. We start with pranayama (breathing exercises), move through some easy Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa sequences (yoga flowing with breath) and finish with restorative postures along with savasana (total relaxation). Our yoga is a great way to socialise and meet like-minded people.

We also gather as a community on a Sunday morning, not to provide teaching services but to share yoga and practice together which allows us to rotate the teachers that participate and chose to lead the class each week. Our Sunday meetup is free or by optional donation in class and details are as follows:

Sunday - Morning Flow @8am, South Perth Foreshore, South Perth (1st October - 1st June)

Sunday - Hatha Vinyasa @9.30am, South Perth Foreshore, South Perth

Here’s the list of SOME of our paid class ($12 or $10):

Tuesday - Hatha Vinyasa @6.15pm, South Perth Senior Centre, South Perth

Wednesday - Hatha Vinyasa @10am, Swan Valley Vegetarian Cafe, Millendon

Friday - Yin Yoga or Yoga Nidra @6.15pm, South Perth Senior Centre, South Perth

Other classes and wellness events are provided weekly so please check the calendar regularly.

Most of our classes conclude with a 10-15 minute savasana or yoga sleep (Yoga Nidra). Sometimes we have extra additional and seasonal classes and adjusters assisting you with alignment and technique. For up-to-date info please ensure you check the Meetup Calendar and the events board on or email us at (

We provide mats, blocks and blankets should you need them on a first come first serve basis.

Also look out for other events on the group calendar that we are able to bring to you through other yoga community service providers we have partnered with.

We operate to bring affordable yoga to everybody so that yoga remains accessible to everybody so we can facilitate a safe place to come and be amongst others. We ask for a small donation at the park yoga classes if you can afford and encourage you to come even if you cannot. Should you attend one of our classes please leave us a review on Google here: .

We are a community run under a B-corp social model and our purpose is to expand and grow so if you would like to contribute or please message us and we can get together.

Enjoy yoga 🙏
