What we’re about
Rogue Writers Edinburgh meetings, founded by the late Peter Muego and the late James Gibson, have been hosted virtually since March 2020. Meeting details and passwords will be circulated to people who have signed up. Without exception, prospective RW members are required to provide their legal first and surnames and a link to at least one active social media account(s) for consideration/approval. To help build and maintain camaraderie, attendees are expected to be on camera for the majority of the meeting—we understand Zoom fatigue is real. With that said, members are welcome to be off-camera during each reading.
Be Open. Stay Curious.
**************************
Rogue Writers of Edinburgh, formerly part of the Edinburgh Creative Writers Club, is now an independent group since 2020.
Prospective members are to share their full legal first and surname when applying to join Rogue Writers and agree to be on camera for the majority of the Zoom meeting. As a reminder, members are welcome to be off-camera during each reading.
The group is a forum for anyone interested in writing, both readers and writers – new and experienced – to come and read their work and receive helpful criticism in a friendly non-judgmental environment. We welcome the following genres: fiction, non-fiction, short stories, poetry, song lyrics, limericks, haikus, etc. There is no requirement to read, however, if you do, please bring no more than 2,500 words of prose or 2-3 poems.
We will ask for a small contribution of £24-£50 per year to support the cost of running the group.
