What we're about
The Hive Think Tank is the largest community of AI and data innovators. The Think Tank is hosted by The Hive (http://hivedata.com/), an AI fund and co-creation studio. Visit us @ Medium (https://medium.com/hivedata) | Twitter (https://twitter.com/HiveData) | Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/HiveData/) | YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/user/HiveMumble).
We are based in the San Francisco Bay Area and our community consists of data scientists, entrepreneurs, corporate users and academicians. We are appreciative and proud of our sponsors, which you can view here (https://www.meetup.com/SF-Bay-Areas-Big-Data-Think-Tank/sponsors/).
The Hive Think Tank hosts talks and panel discussions that are focused on four key areas: AI based Applications, Data Infrastructure, Data Science and Entrepreneurship that span enterprise, consumer and Internet of Things (IoT) segments.
Current hot topics for The Hive Think Tank include:
• Deep Learning and AI
• Bots, Conversational Agents
• AI based Enterprise Automation
• Security & Privacy
• Smart Machines and Autonomous Industrial Operations
• Drones, Robots and Self Driving Vehicles
We have hosted over 305 events so far with 10,200+ attendees and we’re excited to have you join our community.

Over the past decades, quantum computing has painted glimpses of both jaw-dropping promises and doomsday scenarios. In this provocative panel discussion at The Hive Think Tank, we question and debate the engineering foundations of quantum computer design in the backdrop of its struggles to deliver reliable and low error rate computing despite tens of billions of capital and stuffing close to a thousand qubit capacity.
Our expert panelists will examine the challenges of the prevalent Transmon superconductor qubit architectures in terms of error management and exponential overheads to stabilize, while exploring possible alternatives like the Fluxonium and other architectures.
As we reach the limits of semiconductor chips, the panel will gaze at the crystal ball to assess whether and when we can harness quantum physics to sustain our digitally voracious world.

It is often assumed that social impact and profitability are at odds, but Yuet Kim Lim and Deborah Priya Henry will challenge this notion to investors and founders as successful social entrepreneurs. They will share with the audience their experience innovating and building sustainable business models while continuously creating value for their customers, employees and the community.
We are sure that you will be inspired by the pair of remarkable founders. So be sure to join us!
