****Brisbane Whale Watching offer 25% off ALL tickets in June!**** We will probably go sometime right near the end of June, hopefully to see a higher number of whales, as the season only begins on June 1. Watch This Space! ___________________________________________________________________________ We have talked about doing this for a while now.... (this is particularly true of our three attempts during 2018, all "rescheduled" due to "unfavourable conditions"). Let's DO it! A friend and I saw passengers pouring off this exact boat trip about a week ago and they were glowing! Raving about it! Said it was incredible and SO well worth it. They had me sold that day. "Of all the great whales, the Humpback is the most surface active displaying behaviour that will not only inspire you but leave you in awe. There quite clearly is no better place to observe the mighty Humpback Whales than Brisbane’s Moreton Bay, acknowledged as one of the world’s best whale watching destinations in the world. Your Captain Kerry Lopez, is recognised as the only female Captain that owns and skippers a whale watching venture in the South Pacific rim. Kerry's skilled and dedicated friendly crew will assure you an unforgettable whale watching adventure Enjoy a gourmet buffet lunch as you look on in awe as these amazing gentle giants relax in your company, breach, blow and play all within metres from the boat. Located 30 minutes north of the Brisbane CBD on the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula, we are pleased to offer guests a luxury full day’s whale watching adventure on the magnificent vessel 'Eye Spy' with the following inclusions: •Boarding commences at 9.00am for a 10.00m departure •Returns back to the Redcliffe Jetty by 2.30pm •Fresh buffet lunch including Tiger Prawns, Chicken and Ham with a large arrangement of salads and rolls •Extensive and informative commentary •A portion of every ticket is donated to ongoing whale research with various whale organisations •A licensed bar, snack and souvenir counter is available •Wheelchair accessible •Tours operate daily from June to November (weather permitting) As an Eco Accredited Company, we believe that providing people with an opportunity to witness these amazing creatures first hand, not only puts a lot of smiles on guests faces but offers an increased awareness of the beauty of nature and the need to nurture our precious wildlife." I was about to post the most relevant FAQ's on here, but there are too many. Please go to http://www.brisbanewhalewatching.com.au if you have more questions. LET'S MEET: ...at the start of the jetty, at 8:30/8:45-ish. Boarding at 9am. We'll gather and maybe board even if people are running late - and don't worry, we'll SAVE you a seat! :-D PARKING: "Per the website.... there is an all day free car park located opposite the Redcliffe Police Station, just 100 metres north of the Redcliffe Jetty which is our departure point" (Thanks Wes!) ...and/or... "There is also a big car park on Johns street. It's free it says 3hrs but that's only Mon - Fri." (Thanks Carlie!) WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Dress warmly and wear flat shoes. If you wish to spend time on the outside decks of our vessel, you may like to wear a light waterproof wind-jacket. The website is set up to "Register Your Interest" only, at the moment. Good opportunity to get in, get organised, get practising and get fundraising! More details to follow! We might create a group for us to all join on the website, or register individually, but that will all happen a bit later. Check out the website above for details on what you need to do. But generally speaking you need to: --> Pre-register and pay (this is a fund raiser remember) --> Bring your bike, helmet and appropriate clothing for the ride along. --> Enjoy the day... The ride is about 22km long and is relatively flat. Great scenery also.
