Hi AWS Security Fans!

Be part of Australian history. Rock up to this event to learn why it will be the biggest in Australia!

TALK 1: Matt Ray from Chef Software

Matt will be joining us to discuss a component of their Chef Automate product, called InSpec.

InSpec is an open-source testing framework for infrastructure with a human-readable language for specifying compliance, security and other policy requirements. When compliance is code, you can integrate automated tests that check for adherence to policy into any stage of your deployment pipeline.

TALK 2: Atlassian: Gremlins Hiding in your Cloud Success

SPEAKERS:

Mike Fuller, Principal Systems Engineer, Atlassian

Alec Posney, Cloud Engineer, Atlassian

Amazon Web Services are made of win and awesome. It's trivial to setup a modern application in AWS and have it running smooth as silk. It's all sunshine and butterflies until you stumble across that thing you were not meant to do, the cleanup you forgot, or the reasonable assumption you made that turned out to be unreasonable.

This presentation is about the gremlins hiding in your "Cloud Success". Did you forget to delete that DNS entry after deleting your S3 bucket? Oh too bad, your subdomain belongs to Rick Astley. Using managed policies? Uh oh, you might be handing out more access then you are expecting. These are just a few of the gremlins that you will learn about.

To facilitate AWS venue security requirements, all tickets of this event are via Eventbrite registration here (https://meetupmadness-aws-security-sydney-august-2017.eventbrite.com.au).

Grab your ticket, and see you there!
