Saturday Night at the Royal Oak Hotel, Parramatta
Atheists from north, south east or west are invited to gather at the geographical centre of Sydney. This is of special interest to those from Cabramatta, Strathfield, Ryde, the Hills District, Blacktown, Fairfield and suburbs within that circle - but anyone else looking for good godless company is very welcome. Meet and mingle for talk both big and small on all the shades and colours of atheist opinion. Come and share in the like-minded diversity that is the Sydney Atheist community in Parramatta mode. We're not hard to find - just look for the t-shirts. The Royal Oak Hotel has great meals at reasonable prices.

What we're about

We are a community of atheists who aim to encourage use of the scientific method, champion the application of rationality and reason, and work towards the separation of church and state. We aim to make the world a better place.

Sydney Atheists, are an active atheist resource for the people of Sydney, and an open, friendly and welcoming community for atheists and atheist-friendly people. We also provide a sanctuary for those who have escaped various religions.

We get together to celebrate life and have fun, with social gatherings and talks.

In the city, we meet on the second Friday of the month for Talks on the second floor at Club Redfern. We cover topics such as Atheism, Religions, Philosophy, Psychology, Science and Technology to name just a few. Every fourth Thursday of the month on the second floor at Aurora Hotel near Central station we hold our Open Social and Sydney Atheists Young Adults groups.

Our community comes from many backgrounds and age groups and have various interests. Come join us. We look forward to meeting you.

This website is just for our suburban meetups which occur as announced about once a month. These are usually in Parramatta, Southern Districts and Penrith / Blue Mountains.

The following websites include monthly social meetups in the city as well as city monthly talks:
