What we're about
The Sydney SharePoint User Group meets 3rd Tuesday every month at the Sydney Mechanics School of Arts in the CBD.
We meet from 5:30am to 7pm - some would stay a bit longer and some may have to rush off to catch transport home.
We've been running the same user group since 2005. In the past mostly focused on SharePoint and the vast related ecosystem. Now we cover many of the new Office 365 workloads and how they can be used with (and sometimes without?!) SharePoint. We are looking at: Teams, Flow, PowerApps, PowerBI
Some of our best sessions aren't about new toys either: we've had Best Practices on Records Management, Rights Management, Document Management and Enterprise Search.
Drop us a note if you would like to present something to the group. We are always looking for more presenters.
Each meetup has a mix of many regulars and new faces. Introduce yourself. Bring your questions and don't be afraid to ask them. Building a local network of SharePoint and Office 365 professionals will always be useful when you need to reach out and check something.
And in the great tradition, we visit our nearby pub after the session to Share-Pint. We know beer helps bring about great ideas, such as this one that lead to Ivan's free Melbourne Cup Sweepstakes app.
