Are you a game developer based in the NY Capital Region, or someone with an interest in making games? If so, then this group is for you!
TVGS is an active community of game makers that gathers on a weekly basis in Troy, NY to socialize, work together on group projects, and to coordinate hosting of monthly events such as presentations, classes, workshops, exhibitions of locally created games and playtesting sessions of work in progress. Participants of all backgrounds and skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend!
In addition to our weekly meetings, we also run a full time co-working studio for game developers at 30 3rd Street in Troy. For more information, please visit our website at techvalleygamespace.com.
PLEASE NOTE: It is our goal to encourage and celebrate diversity in games with a constructive working and learning atmosphere at all TVGS gatherings. To that end, we are a safe space environment that welcomes people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, ethnic/racial and religious backgrounds, as well as abilities and ages to join in and feel confident that they will not face harassment or oppression within our community. Extra Life Game Day 2025 Part Two
Tech Valley Game Space, 30 Third Street, Troy, NY, USOur next in-person event will be happening this Saturday and Sunday! We'll be gathering at TVGS for a weekend of fun and fundraising during Extra Life 2025, and you are all invited to participate.
For those who aren't aware, Extra Life is a charity event where participants play games to raise funds for the children's hospital of their choice. Team TVGS is proud to be participating in Extra Life for our tenth consecutive year, and we want you to join us in person and online. ✨
Visit extra-life.org/teams/tvgs this weekend to watch our livestream, donate, and cheer us on. You can also participate directly by creating your own free Extra Life account, joining Team TVGS, and encouraging friends and family to contribute via your fundraising page.
To celebrate a full decade of our communal fundraising efforts, we are also bringing back our in-person Extra Life weekend event at the TVGS coworking office. Everyone who wants to participate is invited to stop by the space this weekend to hang out and play some games for a great cause.
We are also seeking volunteers and folks to play games on the TVGS livestream. If you're interested in learning more and signing up to participate, please let us know by filling out this form.
