About us
The Glasgow Photography Meetup welcomes anyone who enjoys taking pictures, regardless of experience. If you are keen to meet up with fellow photographers to exchange ideas, talk about and take pictures, The Glasgow Photography Club is for you.
As a group we have a special interest in people in pictures and portraiture, as well as a comprehensive list of meetups ranging from landscape, street and anything else you care to try out. Let us know the kind of meetups you would like to get involved in, and we will try to arrange events that are of interest.
If you add your attendance to a meetup, please do remember to change your RSVP to let us know if you can no longer make the event. Anyone who fails to do this on more than three occasions will be taken off the members list.

THE BIG HALLOWEEN MULTI MODEL SHOOT AT THE RIVERSIDE MUSEUM
Riverside Museum, 100 Point House Road, Glasgow, GBThe Riverside is a fabulous museum with lots of interesting features including a replica 19th Century cobbled street full of shops that we can enter, including pub, photographer's studio and Subway Stationt. Weather permitting, we can take advantage of the Sailing ship berthed outside on the River Clyde and the very interesting architecture of the museum itself. It all makes for a splendid backdrop for photographs. Our models will be resplendent in fancy dress.
The opportunity to shoot a model in this great environment would suit any level of experience, as a professional photographer will be there to help with set up and advise. You will have access to a variety of portable lighting and light modifiers. Feel free to bring along any equipment including lights that you would like to use during the shoot.
It would be a great opportunity for any photographer to pose and photograph a model in this unique setting, and add quality images to your portfolio.
On the day we will be working on a ratio of no more than 1:2 model to photogrpaher. We aim to have other female and character models at this event too, in addition to our featured models.
We will meet at the tables, next to the black horse and carriage at the reconsructed street.

This event is on Saturday, November 14th.
This event will take place on Saturday 14th November from 10am to Noon at The Glasgow Art Club185 Bath Glasgow St G2 4HUWe have the opportunity to photograph two lovely ballerinas and an elegant model in this classic setting (see images )
The Art Club is a fabulous 19th century institution in the heart of Glasgow. It offers a great backdrop of Art Nouveau and Victorian grandeur with interiors designed by Charles Rennie Macintosh. It is like stepping back in time.
On the day Day we will be working on no more than a 1:1.5 model to photographer ratio. This will allow attendees lots of one to one time with the models.
Although not strictly a tutored shoot, an expert will be on hand to help and advise.
