What we're about

We have many amazing small theatres right in our own town!

Please sign up for an upcoming show at our specially arranged ticket price, & we'll be in the lobby to welcome each of you on the night!

We support the best little independent theatres and also attend the bigger more well known theatres. Our friendly group comes together in the lobby to mingle before the show, or maybe meet for dinner. You can even take your drinks into the show oftentimes! We’ll usually sit as a group and have a have a post show chat - sometimes wth memers of the cast.

- No Theatre experience or savvy knowledge required! First timers are most welcome:)

- Non-profit group
Our objective is to provide a fun and enjoyable social theatre experience. Independent Theatre has very little funding and most performers and theatre venues operate at a loss or break even. This is also true of our group, we have some overhead costs, plus countless volunteer hours by our hosts. We pass along the best discount we can in our ticket prices.

- All ages/backgrounds/nationalities/sydneysiders/travellers/friends/singles & couples are all most welcome to join our events.

We have several shows per month on all different nights to suit different availablties. We attend a wide variety from drama to comedy, traditional to modern & also musicals. Suggestions are always welcome.

We look forward to showing you Sydney’s Fantastic Theatre scene!

Bryon & Maggy

Note: 7 DAY or more advance purchase of tickets is often required to ensure our group seats are reserved. So please Sign up Early, and put the date in your planner:) If you missed out on group tickets, you can always buy direct from the venue box office for a little more money and booking fee, and come join us.

A HUNDRED WORDS FOR SNOW - starts 7pm
Written by Tatty Hennessy
Directed by Gavin Roach

Rory's dad was an explorer. Well, not literally. Literally, he was a geography teacher. But inside, she knows, he was Bear Grylls. And when he dies suddenly in an accident, Rory knows she needs to make one last expedition.
With a plastic compass and Dad's ashes at her side, Rory sets off in the footsteps of all the dead beardy explorers before her, to get Dad to the North Pole. Before Mum finds out they've gone.
A Hundred Words for Snow is about being an explorer in a melting world. It’s a coming of age story. With polar bears.

VIOLET

Performance Space @ St Aidan's

VIOLET
Music by Jeanine Tesori
Book and Lyrics by Brian Crawley
Directed by Kathryn Thomas
Musical Direction by Stephen Dula

Please note this is a community theatre society production.

From the composer of Fun Home, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Caroline, or Change comes the multi-award-winning musical Violet follows a scarred woman as she embarks on a cross-country bus trip to be healed by a minister and discovers the true meaning of beauty along the way. The themes of strength, love, awareness, and growth make Violet the perfect production.
As a girl, Violet was struck by a wayward axe blade when her father was chopping wood, leaving her with a visible scar across her face. With enough money finally saved, she's travelling across the Deep South in 1964 towards a miracle — the healing touch of a TV evangelist who will make her beautiful. Although she may not succeed in having the scar on her face healed, Violet is able to repair those scars that are lying deeper than her skin.

Please purchase your own tickets via the link below & ONLY AFTER YOU HAVE ACTUALLY PURCHASED YOUR TICKETS THEN RSVP ATTEND.
