Running PostgreSQL for the Viennese Government (Laurenz Albe)

I'll recount my experiences introducing PostgreSQL at the City of Vienna.The talk will be focused on strategies for introducing open source software, related difficulties and how we mastered them. There will also be some war stories for the more technically minded.

This should be interesting for everybody charged with introducing PostgreSQL at a bigger organization.

Four New Major Releases in Review (Markus Winand)

In 2017 we have already seen new major releases of three popular SQL databases (MariaDB, SQL Server and PostgreSQL). MySQL 8.0 is in the works for a while, but not yet ready for prime time.

In this talk I’ll walk through the new SQL features introduced by the major releases from this year.
