What we're about

Where are these Meetups?

This Meetup started in Sydney, however, I have moved out of the big smoke to Woolgoolga, just north of Coffs Harbour, NSW. I visit Sydney regularly.

There will be Zoom events, as well as live events, COVID depending. Live events could be in Sydney or around the Coffs Coast, or anywhere. Keep your eyes peeled.

WHO IS THIS MEETUP FOR?

This Meetup is for people who are interested in Personal Development, Non-Religious Spiritual Exploration, Well-being, Adventure and Fun. People who are interested in Wholehearted Living, to meet like-minded people to connect, educate, share, grow, have fun and adventure.

Wholehearted Living is:

• People who are honest, open-hearted and have a zest for living life to the fullest.

• Having the courage to live the life that you want to live, rather than the life your think you should be living.

• Learning how to accept yourself for who you are, not who others or the media tell you, you should be.

• Living from a place of possibility and abundance, not fear and scarcity.

• Not taking life too seriously

We love adventure of all kinds, which will not be limited to Sydney:
• Cuppas; Lunch; Dinner

• Creativity - Dance, Music, Art, Theatre, Festivals, Games

• Outdoors - Walks, Horse Riding, Games, Beach, Camping

• Holidays, retreats

• Fun activities - Random experiences

• … and more

Agenda

To encourage and inspire great conversation and a fabulous Meetup experience, each event or activity may include:

• A Theme: A topic or intention to focus on or to discuss

• A meditation: Maybe a short one or a deeper one

• Something creative or playful: It could be art, dance, song or just playful silliness, just for the fun of it

We welcome Meetup Event ideas from any members.

Fees:

• Events may have a small $5 fee to assist in admin costs

• Some will also have a cost to attend - eg. Movie or dinner, or to contribute to venue hire

• All costs and fees will be detailed on the event listing

About the Organiser - Kim

As a Life Coach and Meditation Teacher, having worked through many of my own challenges in life and working in the Personal Development industry for over 12 years, I have learned strategies to be the calm in the chaos and how to bring happiness and fulfillment into my life.

It was challenging and the rewards great.

I now see needless suffering for many people due to not having a suitable support network. It only takes one connection with the right person to start the change in your life.

I know. I have been there.

I hope to meet you, sometime.

=====GENERAL INFO=====
It has been scientifically proven that Meditation is an antidote to stress. There are many kinds of Meditation Practices, not 1 size fits all.

Let go of what you think Meditation is. Simply put, meditation is just focused breathing that helps to calm the mind and balance the body.

You do not have to burn candles or incense or sage; sit cross-legged in the lotus position with your hands holding a mudra whilst chanting, in a dimly lit, quiet place at dawn. But if that works for you, that is fabulous.

In reality, you can meditate whilst showering, walking, sitting on the train, in the park, driving… anywhere, anytime.

As Dr Seuss might say, "you can meditate on the train, on a plane or in the rain".

Woopi Walk & Talk - Chat, laugh & connect with others, nature & yourself.

>>> JOIN US FOR A LEISURELY WALK and STIMULATING TALK <<<

These days, everyone seems regularly stressed in one way or another, and many lead very sedentary lives.

Actually, most people don't know how stressed they are as they do not realise all the symptoms. Nor do they understand how damaging stress or lack of movement is on the mind, body and relationships.

Connecting with others who can support you is paramount to reducing stress.

Gentle movement or exercise and the nature in the great outdoors is one simple and effective way to diffuse stress and to relax.

However, if you are unable to quieten the chatter in your mind, it is not as effective as it could be. So, learning to surrender the chatter, the tense muscles and stress is as important as connecting with nature.

How do you de-stress or relax?

>>> GENERAL INFORMATION <<<
Taking time out to slow down in our busy lives, actually helps to make progress faster. Sounds odd, right? But it is true.

Start the week with a positive mindset and attitude.

Don't worry, you do not have to share your life story and you will not be forced to talk if you don't want to. Feel free to just hang out.

During our conversations I will share tips and techniques around mindset and managing challenges in life.

We will experience some simple relaxation and meditation tools, for you to take away.

>>> JOIN US FOR INTERESTING CONVERSATION and a LAUGH <<<

These days, everyone seems so busy it is hard to co-ordinate time to catch up or to meet new people, sit and chat.

Especially with COVID restrictions when you can't always get to travel to see friends or family, or there are limitations to those gatherings.

This busyness and lack of connection is stress inducing, whether it feels that way or not.

Stopping and connecting with others who can support you is paramount to reducing stress.
