About the Talk:

Cryptography is the unsung hero of the modern internet. Long before Bitcoin was going to the moon, encryption technologies such as AES, RSA and TLS were making sure the transactions we perform daily are safe. But how does encryption work? What separates the various different schemes and what should you know before implementing encryption in your software?

In this talk, Dan aims to demystify encryption and provide a guide for engineers on how to approach it securely and safely!

About the Speaker

Dan is the CEO and founder of CipherStash, a Sydney based data security startup building a searchable encrypted data storage platform for sensitive data. Previously, Dan has worked as a VP of Engineering at Medical Director and at Expert360 and is also the Executive Producer or the forthcoming docu-series, Debugging Diversity. Dan is an experienced cryptography engineer and his mission is to empower all developers with the knowledge they need to build secure applications.
