Astronomy Lecture: Asteroids, Radar and the Solar System

Please join the Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society for our May 27 general meeting featuring Dr. Michael Busch, a research scientist at SETI, who will discuss both
near-Earth and main-belt asteroids as parts of the solar system and as targets for space missions. He will also review the impact hazard from near-Earth asteroids and how it is being addressed. The meeting starts at 7:15 p.m. with a short “What’s Up?” presented by MDAS member John Corlett, LBNL (retired), whose topic will be Evidence for Dark Energy and Dark Matter. Our meetings are held in the Lindsay Wildlife Experience Community Room, 1931 First Avenue, Walnut Creek, CA 94597
