Astronomy Lecture: Asteroids, Radar and the Solar System

Please join the Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society for our May 27 general meeting featuring Dr. Michael Busch, a research scientist at SETI, who will discuss both
near-Earth and main-belt asteroids as parts of the solar system and as targets for space missions. He will also review the impact hazard from near-Earth asteroids and how it is being addressed. The meeting starts at 7:15 p.m. with a short “What’s Up?” presented by MDAS member John Corlett, LBNL (retired), whose topic will be Evidence for Dark Energy and Dark Matter.
