Happtivist March

Details
The International Positive Psychology Congress is being hosted in Australia for the very first time. To celebrate, Action for Happiness Australia are going show the world that the #happtivist movement is thriving down under.
This is a world first. Whilst most protests are against something, this is a march for something. It’s about starting dialogue about, and painting a picture of, a better world to pull people into. Wellbeing as a human right. It’s a call to make life better. It’s about how we can use the benefits of wellbeing science, and swing towards a more preventative and protective approach to health and wellbeing.
Come dressed in bright clothes to celebrate all things happiness and wellbeing with us. There will be lots of fun and frivolity to be had. Plenty of fun chants, laughter, big smiles and new friends! Feel free to also make your own happy placards.
Meet us at 4.15pm outside the Plenary Cafe (near the boat) at the Melbourne Convention Centre, ready to march at 4.30pm. We will march along the riverside towards Clarendon Street, next to Crown Casino. The march will finish by 5pm.
Following the March, you are welcome to join us for a casual drink to connect with your fellow #happtivists at the Boat Builders Yard just around the corner. Please note: drinks and food at your own expense.
Please share this with your networks. If everyone brings a friend, this will amplify our message for a kinder, more compassionate and caring society!
