Language Exchange Fortnightly (20s and 30s) **Not a dating event**

Hello and welcome!

Come along to our regular language exchange meetup to make new friends and practice speaking languages in a pressure-free environment. The venue will always remain in the CBD. But please keep an eye out as each event approaches, because from time to time we may be required to switch venues with just a few days' notice.

1. This meetup is not a singles meetup. It is a safe environment to establish genuine connections and friendship. While attraction between attendees may naturally develop over time, using this meetup as a 'hunting ground' will not be welcome, nor tolerated. These people will be asked to leave. Please partner with us in creating a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees.

**Ladies, please let me know if you are made to feel uncomfortable, even if it is just your first time attending. Or even if you haven't yet attended, and are already receiving unwelcome personal messages/advances from strangers from this event. Your feedback is important and will enable us to help you, help others, and help us all in maintaining a healthy dynamic at this event.

2. The very essence of a language and cultural exchange is the celebration of our rich diversity. Please be respectful to one another and treat differences in opinion or background with an open mindset. If you have been treated disrespectfully, please don't stay silent - come and talk to myself or one of the other organisers. We don't want to lose good people.

3. We discourage signing up and not attending, or pulling out at the last minute. This makes it difficult to plan, and we have to be fair to those who genuinely want to attend. People who do this will have to be de-preferenced in future events - particularly events with capacity caps.
