Enjoy spectacular scenery of rugged ridges and a wide variety of native plants and animals up the slopes of Horsnell Gully Conservation Park, and rising to the height of Summertown. We will follow a section of the Heysen Trail skirting the flanks of Mount Lofty and Cleland CP, and finishing in the magnificent Chambers Gully track. We will also take a moment to soak in the city view from the top of Sugarloaf -bring a snack.

This is a one-way hike with undulating elevation on the first half of the journey, and a steady descent to the end - nothing onerous. Meet at the finish location in Chambers Gully, we will then carpool to the start location in Skye.

Meet at 8.50 am for introductions and be ready or departure at 9 am sharp. Meeting point is first carpark on Burnside Quarry Track, near the tennis court (see drop-pin on the map). Note this is NOT on the corner with Waterfall Gully Rd. Though, you might wish to park on Waterfall Gully Rd if space permits, and walk 100 m to the meeting point.

Good hiking shoes are recommended. Water, hat, and sunscreen a must!
