The ADK Long Island Chapter promotes and supports the work and activities of the Adirondack Mountain Club. We are dedicated to the conservation, preservation, and responsible recreational use of the New York State Forest Preserve and other parks, wild lands, and waters vital to our members. ADK encourages the involvement of all people in its mission and activities; our goal is to be a community that is comfortable, inviting, and accessible.

 Join us for an ambitious loop of Rusk, Hunter, and Southwest Hunter Mountains. We’ll find the canisters on Rusk and Southwest Hunter and visit the fire tower on Hunter Mountain. The fall time change will have happened and we’ll need need to move at a moderate to brisk pace to complete this hike before sunset. We’ll cover 12 miles with approximately 3700 feet of elevation gain. This hike is for strong hikers in good shape. Registration by November 2. Leader: Ed Moran1 attendee
