See all- Mount Cook Weekend by Adventure SolosDE4 4LS, Matlock
A limited number of tickets are available now at:
https://www.AdventureSolos.com/weekend-events/mount-cook-weekendWe're off to the Peak District for the Mount Cook weekend, at a modern outdoor centre where we've got various rock sports waiting for you!
This weekend includes caving, rock climbing, a rock abseil and a via-ferrata (meaning "iron path" - a climbing route where you generally traverse horizontally using fixtures such as cables, railings and steel steps).
It's possible you will have tried abseiling or climbing on an activity wall at our Dearne Valley Weekend - now is your chance to put them to test 'for real' on rock!
Accommodation is provided for the Friday and Saturday nights, and in the evening we'll enjoy some food together at a local pub and at Mount Cook's on-site bar (soft drinks are available!).
Various meals are provided throughout the weekend as well as accommodation, instructors, activities and all equipment, You'll also have an Adventure Solos host (usually Chris) present throughout the event to make you feel welcome. For more information or to book your spot, visit:

A limited number of tickets are available now at:
https://www.AdventureSolos.com/day-events/wolfescote-dale-walkWolfescote Dale in the Peak District is a beautiful valley, with the walk following the river running through it.
Along the way, we pass an enchanting little cave looking out onto the valley and river. The walk is circular, with the return loop taking us into Biggin Dale back to Hartington to enjoy a good chat in a cosy pub.
The walk is around 5.5 miles (9km), and will take us up to 4 hours. We walk at a steady pace for this hike; a low/moderate level of fitness will suffice.
The walk is flat and easy going, following the River Dove through this beautiful and peaceful valley. This walk starts and ends in Hartington Village.
I'd also recommend picking up a local Homity Pie in the village; made from potatoes, cheese and onion.

A limited number of tickets are available now at:
https://www.AdventureSolos.com/day-events/tolkien-trail-day-hikeDuring the Second World War, English author J.R.R. Tolkien spent a lot of time at a house in the grounds of Stonyhurst College whilst writing The Lord of the Rings.
The book, a sequel to The Hobbit, is one of the best selling books of all time, with over 150 million copies sold.
This 7 mile (11km) walk around The Ribble Valley in Lancashire takes approximately 3.5 hours. The route is relatively flat and easy, with no significant hills, and takes us past the impressive Stonyhurst College, through woodlands and along the River Ribble.
We walk at a slow / steady pace for this hike, only a low / moderate level of fitness is required.
The event starts and ends outside the Shireburn Arms pub in Hurst Green, BB7 9QJ, where we also pop in for a chat and drink at the end of the walk.

https://www.AdventureSolos.com/day-events/tolkien-trail-day-hike - The Roaches & Lud's Church Guided Group Walk Peak District by Adventure SolosSK17 0SU, Gradbach
A limited number of tickets are available now at:
https://www.AdventureSolos.com/day-events/the-roaches-day-hikeLud's Church has a 'wow factor'. It is a gorge or chasm in the surrounding rock and is approximately 20m deep and 100m long. It has steep, moss-covered sides, giving it a mysterious or mystical feel. It seems a little other-worldly; like you've stepped into a Lord of the Rings landscape.
We continue our hike up onto The Roaches - a wide ridge (a bit like Mam Tor if you've been on that hike with us) with views of the countryside below.
The highest point on this route is 505m. The route we will follow is 10 miles (16km) and will take around 6 hours. The ridge is a nice wide path, making it suitable for those with a fear of heights. We walk at a steady pace for this hike, but you should have a moderate to good level of fitness to allow you to complete the walk. The event starts and ends at the car park in Gradback, SK17 0SU (or the farmer's nearby overflow car park if that's full). We'll drive 5 minutes up the road to the New Inn Pub for a social chat and drink (non-alcoholic is fine) afterwards.Find out how to join your first hike with us for FREE when you sign up to the mailing list.
