The most popular peaks in South Wales are generally considered to be Pen y Fan, Corn Du, and Cribyn, all located within the Brecon Beacons National Park. These peaks are well-known for their hiking trails, stunning views, and historical significance. Pen y Fan, being the highest point in South Wales, is particularly popular among both casual walkers and experienced hikers

Often climbed in conjunction with Pen y Fan, Corn Du is a flat-topped peak that provides a great vantage point for admiring Pen y Fan's distinctive shape
*** Cribyn
Known for its steep ascent, Cribyn offers a more challenging climb compared to Pen y Fan and Corn Du. It's a popular addition to a hike that includes the other two peaks, providing a different perspective on the landscape

2 Days of Hiking in South Wales Brecon Beacons National Park

Saturday: Hike is 12 miles Approx. circular. Difficult. Not for beginners. Steep in some areas. Hilly

Sunday: 7-9 miles Approx . Will hike up to see some other popular peaks in the Brecon Beacons. Then drive back to London. Will be back in London by 9:00 pm Approx

*** Saturday***

Meet at 7:30 am outside Hammersmith Tube station. 7:55 am start driving towards the Brecon Beacons designated Car Park
From car Park start hike at Approx 12:30. TOTAL hike length is 12-13 miles Approx. 7-8 hours. 4 hours up and 4 hours down. Lunch Break at 2 PM
Total Hike Length for Saturday is 12 to 13 Miles Approx. 6 miles up and 6 miles down. Steep in some areas. Only for experienced Hikers. Not for beginners. By 8:30 pm will be back at the car park. By 9 pm will arrive at the Hostel to check-in. Must bring your ID with you for checking in at the Hostel. Drivers Licence or Passport

You will Cook Dinner at the hostel Kitchen using ingredients provided to you. Have dinner together at the Hostel seating area

** Sunday Plan: **( Set your Alarm Before you sleep!!

6:30 Am wake up and prepare yourself. Eat Breakfast before 8:00 AM. BreakFast Will be served at the canteen or Kitchen
8:00 Am prepare Your packed Lunches in the kitchen. for The Sunday Hike
9:00 Am Check-Out from Hostel. 10:00 Am we will start driving towards another destination where I will take you on another hike in the Brecon Beacons to see another 2-3 popular Peaks in the Brecon Beacons
These are popular peaks. The Hike will be similar difficulty to Saturday's Hike. The distance will be shorter. Only 8-10 miles Hike on Sunday
Lunch between 2-3 PM . Packed lunches at 2-3 PM Approx
By 4:00 pm back in the 3 cars to start driving back to London
At around 6:00 pm will stop at a Pub or service station on the way for a quick dinner
By 9:00 pm you arrive at London Hammersmith Station to make your way home using public Transport

Here is what you need to know. Your Breakfast on Saturday Morning is on you. Your lunch and Dinner will be taken care of by the Host
Packed lunches will be provided by the host. Simple things. Nothing fancy. Your dinner you will prepare at the hostel Kitchen using the ingredients provided. Maybe I will cook the dinner for you before the trip or order takeaways
Sunday. Your Breakfast and Lunch is provided by the host. Your dinner at around 6 or 7 Pm will be somewhere either a pub or a service stop on the way back to London. Dinner is on you. Breakfast and Lunch is on the host/organiser

** WHAT TO BRING**

Yourself and a Smile. Waterproof Hiking shoes. Spare Socks. Snacks to keep you energised
Towel + shampoo + soap + slippers = for the showers at the hostel. Hostel does not provide

You are not allowed to bring any suitcases or luggage. Just bring your hiking rucksack and one small carrier bag to hold your stuff for the showers at the hostel. As space is limited in the cars

Must bring Spare socks

Waterproof Hiking Shoes. Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Will be slightly wet and muddy in some areas. So bring the right hiking shoes

** Water bottle. 1.5 litre - 2.0 litre minimum**
