3.5 mile Hike at Caloosahatchee Regional Park
Details
Caloosahatchee Regional Park is one of the finest Lee County parks. This hike follows a variety of nature trails to tour several ecosystems in the park, from piney uplands where gopher tortoises live, past views of the Caloosahatchee River, to a hardwood hammock with giant live oaks. We will follow trails for 3.5 miles at a moderate pace through these ecosystems. The trails vary from flat gravel and/or grassy to uneven dirt paths. Parts of the trail are wide-open to the sun and others shaded by a variety of trees.
We will gather up at 8:00 a.m. so that we will begin the hike at 8:10 a.m
I will need another Activity Leader for this event, so hopefully one will sign-up.
Additional Information:
There is a parking fee of $1 per hour or $5 per day (cash or credit card). Lee County parking passes are accepted. There are restrooms at the trail head.
