Roll 9:00 AM // Distance 12+ miles // Elevation 1,800+ feet

The San Clemente Singletracks, also known as “The Weed Patch” by old-timers (or "The Dog Park" by the new generation) is perhaps the best Enduro style riding in Orange County. The trails are challenging, and except for fire road access to utility lines, they are 100% single tracks.

Although there’s an official park map posted at each access point into the area detailing the known legal trails, you’ll likely come across twice as many "social trails". The locals are notorious for quickly building up new single tracks and other interesting features such as jump lines, wall rides, and if you are lucky, even a cougar in a tree.

There are some technical sections including short, steep descents with small drops and jumps. All jumps have ride-arounds. There is also a decent amount of climbing.

RIDE LEVEL - ADVANCED BLUE
You have a strong understanding and practice with braking, shifting, cornering, and descending skills. You can navigate variable terrain at a good pace. You are confident and comfortable riding singletrack trails and can easily navigate roots, rocks, mud, sand, and creek crossings. You are capable of a front wheel and rear wheel lift and can put the two together to navigate over obstacles. You are fairly confident on steep climbs and descents, but you may walk sections on Black or Double Black trails.
