Building AI Agents with Amazon Strands SDK

In this workshop we will learn how to build AI Agents on AWS. We will learn how to create an agent with the Amazon Strands SDK that is model agnostic, creating a sample application as we go. Compared with complex frameworks, Strands simplifies agent development by embracing the state-of-the-art models to plan, chain thoughts, call tools, and reflect. In this workshop , learn to create agents across use cases from performing calculations, fetch weather data, maintain conversation memory, conduct research, manage knowledge bases, and collaborate in multi-agent systems. We will also explore alternate ways we can create agents within Amazon Bedrock and how in each case we can connect to an MCP server and use its tools.

Arrive 12:30 for a 12:45pm start. We will provide afternoon tea.
