A hilly 3-to-4-mile (up to 2.5 hours) hike in one of Westchester's farms, Muscoot Farm. New hikers and all hikers seeking a slower to moderate-paced hike on hiking trails are welcome. Restrooms are available. Bring a guest or two.
Muscoot Farm is an early 20th-century interpretative farm museum near Katonah, NY. The farm is owned and operated by the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Conservation. GPS address is: 51 Route 100, Katonah, NY 10536
There is no parking or entrance fee for individuals or families. Meet at 10 AM in the parking lot. No dogs.
There is no easy public transportation available directly to the location.
The Harlem Line Metro-North train provides service to Katonah station.
After arriving at Katonah, travelers should arrange a ride share using Uber or a local taxi, particularly if there are additional hikers in the group.
A free ride back to the train station will be provided at the end of the hike. For more details, those interested should text Steve.
