Celebrate the colors, flavors, and fun of fall! Join AMC for a day of apple picking and autumn adventure at Fishkill Farms. We’ll take care of the details (transportation, admission, etc.) — you just bring your crew (kids, grandparents, friends, or come solo and meet new friends!)

Join AMC’s Concrete to Trails Bus Trips
Discover wild places just beyond the city limits—no Uber, Lyft or train ticket required! Appalachian Mountain Club’s Concrete to Trails program offers weekly Saturday bus trips from New York City to stunning natural areas that are typically hard to reach without a vehicle. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or simply seeking fresh air and new views, these outings make it easy to escape the pavement and step into nature.
What to Bring:
- Sturdy hiking footwear
- Weather appropriate clothing
- 2+ liters of water
- Snacks (or buy at the market)
- Sun protection (clothing, hat, sunblock)
- Bug protection (lotion or spray)
Registration Details:
- Space is limited to 50 participants.
- Registration on the AMC website (activities.outdoors.org) is required for each participant, including children.
- All minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult

Meeting Info:
- The group will meet at 8:00 AM and depart by 8:15 AM.
- Final meeting details (near the George Washington Bridge Bus Station) will be sent to the email of all registered participants two days prior to the hike.
- Return time is estimated between 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM, depending on traffic
- We do not currently allow independent transportation to the trailhead. We ask all hikers in the group to take the bus both directions to/from NYC.
Cost: includes round trip bus transportation and 11.5 bushels of select apples for the bus group (that's a lot of apples!); lunch and other purchases are on your own

Refund Policy:
- For this trip, a refund is possible if you cancel online one week before the trip and your space can be filled.
