Join us for a hike through Princeton NJ with a little bit of everything.
Our route will take us to Mountain Lake Preserve to traverse the wooded trails that run along (and over) the creeks around the lake, through Princeton to spend time on Princeton campus (before students return) which is filled with interesting architecture, walking paths, gardens and outdoor art, and for a walk along the towpath. Brisk pace, 8 - 10 miles walking on gravel, pavement, and dirt paths (with rocks and roots, possibly mud). Several small stream crossings possible. Restrooms available at the meeting location and at Mountain Lakes Preserve.
Anticipated hike time 3.5 - 4.5 hours. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and dress for the weather. Rain cancels - if in doubt, check status before 6:30am the day of the hike or contact leader. 8am start time.
Logistics - Meet at Turning Basin Park, 523 Alexander Road, Princeton. Please let leader know if you have any medical conditions that could affect your ability to complete the hike.
Please note: In order to comply with Pennsylvania Youth Protection Laws, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. This policy applies for all events offered by the Delaware Valley Chapter as well as any other Chapter events within the state of Pennsylvania.
