Ideal for parents with children!
We will do a walk of a little less than one mile (0.8 miles) along a paved interpretive nature trail. There are observation points, overlooks and informative graphics along the way. The trail is ADA accessible and is fine for strollers.
There is a clean portable toilet at the parking area. We will begin and end our walk there.
Those wishing for a longer walk can join me for a mile or so along a gravel and dirt trail.
Consisting of 119 acres of wetlands, woodlands and meadows, Black Rock Sanctuary is dedicated to wildlife habitat and public use. The Sanctuary offers a wonderful opportunity to relax and discover the history, geology, wildlife, plant life and habitats along the Schuylkill River.
