Join us for a 4 mile hike along the Tohickon Creek and high rocks with spectacular views. The High Rock Vista section of Ralph Stover State Park grants access to several hiking trails that feature vistas of the horseshoe'd section of Tohickon Creek
Meet at 5:15 pm Hike starts promptly at 5:30, for Appalachian Mountain Club Hike. (AMC)
We will hike on wooded, meadow and some paved trails. We'll do about 400 ft total elevation. The trail does have sections that can be a bit wet, muddy, and uneven, Wooded trails can be rocky.
Bring sturdy footwear and water.
After hike (A five minute drive from our hike to event) you can join me and Heritage Conservancy staff to learn about Pennsylvania bats! Enjoy a lovely summer evening outside while watching bats emerge from the church and bat houses to start finding their dinner! Bring a lawn chair or blanket for the outdoor portion of the program. This after hike event, is with Heritage Conservancy not AMC.
You will have to register with the Heritage Conservancy to attend. It’s 10.00 but goes to a good cause and you can bring your family for the 10.00. Link to register: Bats Across Bucks County
Inclement weather may cancel hike. If doubtful, check the status of the hike on www.amcdv.org and check the activity calendar or contact the leader.
All participants will need to agree to and sign a paper AMC legal waver sheet just prior to the hike if you did not register online in the AMC Outdoor Connector.
Please note: In order to comply with Pennsylvania Youth Protection Laws, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. This policy applies for all events offered by the Delaware Valley Chapter as well as any other Chapter events within the state of Pennsylvania.
