Social and a Show: Comedy Night

Join AYPROS and the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts for one of our most popular winter collaborations: a lively pre-show social followed by a packed comedy night with a room full of young professionals.
These shows are always high-energy and full of laughs. The crowds are engaged, the room is buzzing, and the comedians tend to have a little extra fun playing off the audience. It’s a great way to kick off a Friday night downtown.

Event Schedule
6:00 PM – AYPROS Social Hour
Henry LaBrun Studio
Start the evening with a relaxed social hour featuring:
• Hors d’oeuvres
• Champagne bar
• Drink tickets for beer, wine, or non-alcoholic options
• A fun, welcoming crowd in one of Wortham’s most intimate spaces
7:00 PM – Comedy Show Featuring Sid Davis
Tina McGuire Studio
Guests with show tickets will move into the Tina McGuire Studio, transformed into a cozy comedy lounge complete with a bar inside. From the first set to the headliner, it’s nonstop laughter in an intimate setting.

Headliner: Sid Davis
Sid Davis is a festival favorite and three-time “Best in Fest” winner at the San Luis Obispo Comedy Festival. First discovered by Joan Rivers in 2014, Sid went on to perform with ComedyTime TV and build a national following.
After a medical condition delayed the start of his career, Sid came back strong. His 2020 Dry Bar Comedy special, Song Lyrics Are So Stupid, has earned more than 2.9 million views on YouTube. Authentic, sharp, and consistently hilarious, Sid brings storytelling and smart observations that land with every crowd.
