How to find us: Directions from Asheville: I-26 East: Exit right on NC-280 West, Airport Rd, Go Right (West) Airport Rd, for 4.3 miles to Mills River Ingles on the right 3338 Boylston Hwy, in front of gas pumps, closest to Boylston Hwy. Departing on time,8:00. Look for Silver Lincoln SUV Cell phone #239-777-4743 2nd meeting place: Trailhead at 8:30
Hike: Shaded hike with good footing. Follow Daniel Ridge along a beautiful stream. Cross over on Farlow Gap Trail and ascent to a snack break at a creek Then, retrace to Daniel Ridge to complete the loop and see Tom's waterfall. Type of hike-loop with a short side trip to a water fall. Dogs welcome if well behaved and leashed. Difficulty level on a 10 point scale---6. Pace: 2.4 mpg. I will watch the weather report and notify all if hike needs to be cancelled no later than 6:30 AM Thursday morning
As usual, there is the option of grabbing a beer and/or lunch following the hike.
