Mt. Pisgah Sunset Hike (3.2 miles round trip - moderate).

BEFORE YOU SIGN, READ THE DESCRIPTION FROM START TO END PLEASE.
NO DOGS, NO SMOKERS, NO STRONG PERFUMES PLEASE. I am allergic to all of the above (the scents, the people and the animals:)

It is a short but steep hike - 1.6 miles one way and I will definitely want to get to the top around 4:30/4:45 about an hour before the sun actually sets. I would like to take photos and it is good to observe the light before the sun sets.

Meet at 2:45pm at Ingles at 863 Brevard Rd, Asheville, NC 28806. Park near the Ingles gas station. Bring $2-$3 for drivers (depending on number of people).
Leave by 3:00pm, please be on time, I do not wait, I am sorry.
Driving time/distance - approximately 30minutes/16 miles. It might be slower now in leaf season.
Drive to Mt. Pisgah trailhead.
Start hiking at around 3:45pm. Be at the top around 4:30. (I am slow these days, so I give myself an hour to climb up, it is short but the second half is steep)

TRAFFIC ALERT - traffic can be bad around the time we meet, so plan accordingly and get to the meeting spot on time.
Feel free to bring snacks/drinks/desert - we will spend about one hour at the top observing the sunset.

BRING FLASHLIGHTS, ON THE WAY BACK IT WILL BE DARK.
BRING HIKING POLES, ROCKS COULD BE WET AND SLIPPERY.

Weather - 40ies, so it will be COLD AND WINDY. BRING A WARM JACKET, HAT, GLOVES, SWEATER, ETC.
