Caney Bottom / Cove Creek 5.25 mile

Feeling lazy this week, so an easy hike of about 5 miles. We'll meet at the Pisgah Ranger Station middle parking lot at 9:30 for a 9:45 sharp departure. We'll car pool to where FR475 turns to gravel (and where they are building a new bridge). We'll walk up FS809 to the Caney Bottom Trail, head counter clock wise on Caney Bottom to Cove Creek. We'll follow Cove Creek to the Cove Creek waterfall side trail, head down and see the waterfall. Back up to the main trail, back to FS809 and the cars. About 5.25 miles, around 700' elevation gain.

Dogs are welcome, as usual I'll have my dog with me.
