Kayaking Lake Julian

Hey y’all! It’s time to get out the kayaks and paddle boards! Scott and I spent a few hours exploring Lake Julian and it’s a great place to paddle. There are two bodies of water that make up the lake, with a beautiful canal connecting the two.

Let’s meet at Lake Julian Park at 9:30 and plan for a 10:00 launch. We’ll paddle to the southern-most point and explore the smaller lake. On the return trip we’ll paddle over to Wild Wing Cafe and beach our boats there. We’ll take some time to eat and drink before finishing up with a short paddle back to the landing. See y’all there!!

The cost for lake access is $8 per day or $50 per year

Bring your life jacket, sunscreen, water shoes, and water for rehydration

Remember- every boat is required to have a life jacket on board
