Friday Ride and Lunch - Concordia Club (Marrickville)

Start at Concordia Club (opposite Tempe Station) at 10.00am. Cycle 30 km loop through Greenway, CBD & Bourke St cycleway returning to Concordia for a 1pm lunch.
Easy pace 15 to 20 kph, three small hills. We're off up the Cooks River, then The Greenway, Hawthorne Canal, Rozelle Parklands, Pyrmont, Barangaroo, stopping at Millers Point for a 30 minute coffee break. On through the city via the Kent St ("copenhagen") cycleway to Central, Redfern, Waterloo, Alexandria, Airport & Tempe finishing at the Concordia Club for lunch outdoors (undercover).
The Concordia Club is a cyclist friendly Community Club. Sign in as a Visitor if you are not already a member (only $5 to join). You must be 18 years or over to join this ride.
This ride is suitable for all bicycle types (MTB, Hybrid, Road, Touring and legal e-bikes). The surfaces of the off road cycle paths are concrete with some bitumen sections.
You will need a bike in good mechanical order; helmet; water bottle; spare inner tube(s) in case of puncture. Check tyre pressure before arriving.
And of course, bring money for food/drinks and appropriate clothing on the day.
NOTE: Ashfield Bicycle Group has several members who have been accredited as Ride Leaders by Bicycle NSW. This ride will be led by Neil who is one of their certified Ride Leaders. We recommend all cyclists join Bicycle NSW.
