Hey there, and welcome to the Asian Support Network! 😊 If it's your first time here, welcome! Ever notice how hard it is to make friends and meet like-minded people as an adult? It's our mission to change that through community building events like this one! ✨

Join us for one of our most popular events! A small intimate picnic under the sun ☀️ with friends! We'll get to know each other by playing games ♟️, sharing snacks 🍡, and enjoying the beautiful spring 🌸 in New York!

After joining one of our picnics, you'll be invited to join our Discord server, where we hang out between events, and connect on an even deeper level. We really hope to see you soon! 😊

💍 How are we different?

We don't optimize for number of attendees 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒, and we're not a networking or dating mixer 🍸. We're interested in getting to know your name, and building a strong sense of community🏡 and belonging 🫂. So instead, we try to limit the number of people, optimize for attendee experience 🥳, create a safe space, and aim to build a very inclusive community culture.

It's not the same as just attending an event, meeting tons of people, but never seeing them again, and missing that sense of connection 💕. Instead, we want you to feel like membership in ASN means something to you, and that we can be a community you can always count on 💪! Since 2020, we've been building on this loving and supportive community that we all love ❤️.

🐣 Newcomers
If it's your first event with us, welcome! We know how hard it is to join a new group, especially with social anxiety. You can come at any time during the event. Even if you are late, we would much rather meet you than not! Just find our group, walk right in, and ask if this is the Asian Support Network Meetup Group, and we'll welcome you right in! ☺️

✅ RSVP/Waitlist Policy
If you are marked GOING:
Please ensure that you can actually attend the event so that we can open up more spaces for those on the waitlist. If you decide you are unable to attend, please mark yourself as NOT GOING as soon as possible.

👫 Guest Policy
We discourage unannounced +1's. If you want to bring a friend, please have them register for Meetup and RSVP individually.

🗓️ Day of Event
We will update this section 30 minutes before event start. Please refer to map pinpoint for the most accurate location. We are not liable for any personal belongings in this event. Please be aware of your own belongings.

🌧️ Weather Contingencies
This section will be updated as we get weather updates, but weather allowing, this event will go on!

🍎 Food & Drinks
We will not be officially providing food and drinks. Everyone is responsible for bringing their own food, or getting food at the location. You can also choose to come on your own, and get food together as a group.
